Do you intend to pursue your education in the UK? Good news! Snowdon Trust Masters Scholarship is currently ongoing an application. So in this article, we will explain more about the scholarship, its worth, eligibility, and application process.
The Snowdon Trust Masters Scholarship has been designed to identify and improve talented disabled students through higher education and by creating the influencers of the future. The scholarship is looking for individuals with the capacity to create change and influence others.
However, this could include excellence within a chosen field of study, or the ability to display leadership more widely through the workplace or extracurricular activities. So if you are living with an impairment and have a proven drive for success, we urge you to apply for Snowdon Trust Masters Scholarship.
All Snowdon Masters Students are urged to become part of its Disabled Leaders Network. A space for collaboration, engagement, and debate, the Disabled Leaders Network will provide a platform for each student to build relationships with other outstanding disabled leaders, creating a hub of information, knowledge, and support.
The scholarship provides grants to physically disabled and sensory impaired students studying in the UK – in further or higher education or those training towards employment. Its Grants help cover extra disability-related study costs that students incur and where available statutory funding does not cover them.
In addition, costs include important support such as sign language interpreters, people to take notes, computers, specialist software, wheelchairs, special accommodation, and equipment. Almost 100 grants are awarded each year, ranging from £250 to £5,000. Applications are reviewed by our Selection Panel.
The panel consists of both disabled and non-disabled people who have knowledge and understanding of a broad range of disabilities from sight and hearing impairments to paralysis, cerebral palsy, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, joint and bone diseases, and lupus.
Aside from giving financial grants, the trust also takes an active interest in individuals, offering encouragement to students during their studies and beyond. It also takes disability issues very seriously. They try to keep them on the agenda of both the Government and institutions as they collect data, respond to consultations and ask difficult questions.
