Department of Small Business Development invites candidates to apply for Accounting Clerk position.
ACCOUNTING CLERK: FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION REF NO: AC
SALARY : R216 417 per annum
CENTRE : Pretoria
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A Grade 12 certificate. A national diploma or bachelor’s degree (NQF6/7) in finance, accounting, or auditing recognized by SAQA, as well as one year of relevant work experience in financial accounting, will be advantageous. Have demonstrated proficiency in: communication (verbal and written), analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, interpersonal relationships, planning and organizing abilities, and basic numeracy and accuracy.
ACTIVITIES:
Financial accounting transactions include receiving invoices, checking them for accuracy, verification, and approval (internal control), processing them (e.g., capturing payments), and collecting cash. Perform financial accounting administration support services, such as updating and maintaining invoice tracking registers, filing papers (batch control), and doing ad hoc tasks as needed. Perform bookkeeping support services, including capturing all financial transactions, clearing suspense accounts, recording debtors and creditors, processing electronic banking transactions, and producing journals.
