City of Johannesburg: Call Centre Internships 2024
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Group Finance Department is offering Internship opportunities to suitably qualified and unemployed graduates. The Interships will run for a a period NOT exceeding eighteen (18) months.
Position Title: Revenue Call Centre Internship
Duration: 18 Months contract.
Primary Function:
Provide a high level of Call Centre service, both telephonic and written, by taking the initiative to analyse, identify account queries, and process necessary procedures using all available resources in order to resolve revenue-related queries on the first point of contact, logging and/or escalating all queries that cannot be resolved to the relevant department, while meeting or exceeding the R & CRM department’s targets and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
To implement standard operational procedures in logging all revenue account-related inquiries related to all service officers by the City of Johannesburg for further processing by the applicable back-end department, while queries relating to first-time resolution are logged and resolved quickly; Perform specified sequences related to keeping electronically based information.
Criteria:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Must reside in Johannesburg
Skills and abilities:
- Computer Literacy;
- Problem solving skills;
- Good Time management;
- Excellent listening and communication skills (verbal and written);
- Excellent Interpersonal skills;
- Basic knowledge of billing concepts and functions;
- Knowledge Retention and recall;
- Capability to handle pressure;
- Ability to interpret mathematical information.
