As a General Worker, your primary duties will include:

• Cleaning Responsibilities: Ensure the cleanliness of offices, bathrooms, the stockroom, and the kitchen to maintain a healthy working environment for both employees and the public.
• Visitor Services: Serve tea and coffee to department visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Meeting Preparation: Prepare venues for meetings by cleaning, setting up water decanters and glasses, and arranging refreshments.
• General Office Assistance: Assist with general office administration tasks when your cleaning schedule is complete.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform any additional tasks assigned by management as needed.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following Requirements:

• Educational Background: Minimum Grade 10; Grade 12 is an added advantage.
• Driver’s License: Possession of a driver’s license is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; bilingualism is essential.
• Instruction Compliance: Ability to follow and execute given instructions effectively.
• Physical Fitness: Good physical health and a basic understanding of physical work.
• Self-discipline: A hard-working and self-disciplined attitude is crucial.
• Local Residence: Must reside within the jurisdiction of Midvaal Local Municipality.
• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in general work as a cleaner within the Midvaal Local Municipality or any local government authority.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from R142,608.00 p.a. to R156,228.00 p.a., classified at Level 13 of a Grade 04 Local Authority. The total package, including all benefits, amounts to R265,897.52 p.a.
